New year is coming up and it is evident that the excitement in video technology space is going to continue. Whole bunch of tech blogs have been making their predictions for the new year. Joining in the fun is tempting, but to be honest 2008 is so close it is really not much of a challenge. To push the limit a bit, here are some guesses on things to come in 2009 instead.
Global content distribution platforms and video portals battle it out. Three players finally successfully bring internet video to the living room (one of them will be Apple, Nintendo or Sony…)
Production houses and recording studios dipped their tows into the icy water, but exit the space after finding that they need some help in distribution and managing customer relationships after all
First consumer HD camcorder with interchangeable lenses is published by Canon or Panasonic
First motion-detecting dynamicly composing SLR will be released a full year after first software demonstrations were released
Remember folks, you heard it here first. Happy and prosperous new year!
