I maybe honking my/our own horn here a bit, but it is a fact that Finland has a quite large number of companies working in video technology compared to the size of the country. Why has this happened? At least you can’t explain it with drinking water. Businesses in this industry have not been clumped just in one physical location, but there are leading companies located all around the country in Turku, Tampere and Oulu. The capital metropolitan area (Helsinki/Espoo) has its own thriving start-up scene and several active players.
Somebody could call Finland a video technology hot bed so I made a list of some of the companies working in the area:
Since it is Finland we are talking about of course you can’t leave out Nokia. It is one of the biggest clients and as such an effective ecosystem builder.
